More Masquerade Masks

Yes I have made more masks. I purchased a glue gun and had so much fun, I've never owned one so I was just having so much fun creating these masquerade masks. I also bought more glitter, felt, sequins, bows, ribbons, lace trimmings and feathers. The great thing about the glue gun is unlike other glue I was able to attach the felt to the mask without a mess, PVC glue takes to long to dry as does epoxy glue. Super
glue hardens when is applied to fabric., so a big no! to super glue. Here are two masquerade masks that I made

The masks I used are hard plastic. I don't like the idea of paper mache masks. Just from a personal view point. On alternative nights out I've wore a paper mache mask and by the time the night was out, it wore down and was just spent. Where as plastic is much more durable and can be worn again and again. These masks however can also be used in decorative purpose to and not just for nights out.

As always thanks for reading :)

Masquerade Masks.

Next time I will be featuring the models for the jewellery. As I'm still planning the photo shoots. However over the weekend I had bought some plain masquerade masks and some lovely things to decorate them with. I must say I had lots of fun making decorating these :)

I had been wanting to design these type of masks for a while now and it just so happened by chance that I came across some blank masks. So me, being me I grabbed as many as I could. I then went looking for glitter, feathers and some rhinestones. I didn't buy to much in the way of decorative things as I just wanted to know if I could actually work with them. Design and decorative wise they are a bit plain but now I know I can work with these masks. I will elaborate on the designs on the next lot that I decorate. As I said these where rather simple. I just coated the mask in pvc glue and sprinkled glitter over the glue. I then applied the rhinestones around the bottom of the eye. After the rhinestones had dried I then added the resin flowers, black bows and feathers.  Sorry if this was a short blog, the next one will be more of a read but I hope you enjoyed it all the same :)
